Q: How often should I have my dog groomed?
A: Approximately every 4-6 weeks dependent on breed of dog.
Q: What should I do if my dog is matted?
A: Do not bath or groom your dog yourself as this could cause harm to your dog. Please give us a call and we will advise you further.
Q: When should I have my puppy groomed?
A: We recommend booking in after the second vaccination. This will be a free 15 minutes consultation with one of our Groomers to introduce your new dog to the Grooming environment.
Q: When should I book my Dog in for an anal gland’s appointment?
A: Unless your Vet has specifically told you to book an appointment, then this should be avoided.
Q: How many times should I bath my dog a month?
A: No more then once a month as this can strip your Dogs coat of essential oils and potentially damage the coat.
Q: What is your cancellation Policy?
A: We respectfully request as much notice as possible if you need to cancel/re arrange your appointment. The slot can then be offered to other clients when we are given reasonable time to do so. We do however require a minimum of 48 hours notice if you are unable to keep your appointment. If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment you will incur a charge of 50% of the appointment price. This also applies to those who do not keep their appointment and give no notice.
Q: What is your Matting Policy?
If your dog is mated, we do charge a matting fee. This can range from £5 – £20+ depending on how mated your dog is. This is because cutting mated fur causes our blades and scissors to blunt and often takes us extra time. To provide the best service to you and your pet we have our equipment regularly sharpened to provide a smooth and even finish.
Q: What is your policy regarding Fleas?
If your dog has fleas, please call more than 48hrs prior to your appointment to re-schedule your appointment to after the treatment has finished and your dog is flea free. If you have not noticed that your dog has fleas and we notice during the groom, you will be charged a £25 fee. This is due to us having to fumigate the salon at the end of the day to protect our other clients.
